A Crazy Idea!
OK, so we have decided to ride our tandems across the country with our kids (ages 10 and 11). When we tell people this they look at us like we are crazy. Maybe we are...or will be by the end of the trip!
Please check in for updates and follow us as we cross the country. We will ride across Oregon the first week of April, and then pick up the trip again in June (just before school gets out).
We look forward to hearing from you!

What a great way to enjoy the U.S.A. with your family. I hope you and your family have a safe trip. I have shared your blog with a couple of bike nuts I know. They think RAGBRAI is a work out. At least they thought it was until I told them what you had planned.
GOOD LUCK, GOOD WEATHER, GOOD TRIP

You folks are awsome!I do a fair amount of touring myself, and also recently purchased a recumbent from Coventry Cycle Works. I wish I could get my wife to agree to a similar trip. I know that the kids would love it! I now live in Oregon City, and am planning a trip from there to Sisters starting the 22nd of April. How's the ride along the highway from Salem to Sisters (aside from the snow)? Good luck, and be safe.
